Provision of hotel and insurance services in the Greek territory

The Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) in Chamber, unanimously approved pursuant to Art. 8(3) of Greek Law 3959/2011, the proposed transaction notified on 15/04/2022, concerning the change in the quality of control over Grivalia Hospitality, namely from the current joint control to sole control by the notifying party.
In the above decision, the Hellenic Competition Commission held that the concentration, which concerns the broader market for the provision of hotel and insurance services in the Greek territory, although falling within the scope of paragraph 1 of article 6 of Law 3959/2011, does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with competition rules in the individual markets concerned.
