Personal Data Protection

  1. The Hellenic Competition Commission, Independent Administrative Authority (hereinafter referred to as HCC), recognizes the importance of protecting information/personal data collected from users via the Website and takes steps to maintain security, integrity and confidentiality of information in accordance with this data protection policy. By submitting your information to www.epant.gr (hereinafter referred to as the Website), you consent to the data protection policy described below.
  2. Registration with the Website is optional and voluntary. Personally-identifiable information about individuals (hereinafter referred to as Personal Data) may include name, title, company, address, phone number, email address, etc. Questions or comments submitted by the Website users may also include Personal Data. Browsing, viewing and downloading articles or any other content contained in this Website do not require submission of any Personal Data by users nor any browser configuration to accept cookies.
  3. Personal Data entered in the Website will be exclusively used for the promotion, support and implementation of its operation. Whenever the HCC collects and uses Personal Data, it shall do so in the context of implementing its main public mission and purposes, namely in order to:

  5. Unless you provide your consent, the HCC will not use or share your Personal Data with any third party. However, the HCC may disclose your Personal Data to data processors -law enforcement officers/senior officials & HCC executives-, competent prosecuting authorities, as required by law, and, as the case may be, to those who submit such a request by establishing a specific legal interest under P.D. 28/2015 (Government Gazette 34/A’) or to the persons against whom the proceedings before the HCC have been initiated or to whom they have notified a concentration, according to the provisions of J.M.D. 117/4.1.2013 (Government Gazette 54/B’) for processing according to this data protection policy. The HCC will be aware of and will receive assurances that the above persons will protect your Personal Data in accordance with this data protection policy.
  6. The HCC tracks the patterns of the Website usage. The HCC may disclose to carefully selected third parties navigational and transactional information in the form of anonymised statistical and demographic data, without revealing any user’s identity or confidential information, unless otherwise required by law or deemed necessary in view of legal proceedings, or unless the HCC has received your consent.
  7. The HCC does not deliberately collect or use Personal Data of users under the age of 18 years.
  8. You have the right to receive information about any of your Personal Data retained by the HCC. You have also the right to request the correction or deletion of your Personal Data from the HCC records. In any case, it is possible that some of your Personal Data will remain in the HCC records, but will not be used. The HCC reserves the right to occasionally communicate with the Personal Data subject depending on its needs.
  9. The HCC may collect and process information regarding your usage of the Website. This may include your domain name (the text following @ in your email address), the associated IP address and your user name (the text preceding @ in your email address). The amount of the information disclosed depends on the settings on your web-browser; please check your browser for information disclosability in the context of your Internet access.
