The Chamber of the Hellenic Competition Commission unanimously cleared, pursuant to Article 8(3) of the Greek Competition Act 3959/2011, the concentration which concerns the acquisition of sole control over NIKAS S.A. by CHIPITA S.A. The Commission decided that the concentration, which concerns companies with heterogeneous business activities, does not raise any serious doubts as to its compatibility with merger control rules in the relevant markets. Given the absence of any horizontal overlap between the activities of the two companies, the possibility of the concentration causing negative impacts on competition is deemed insignificant. |
