On April 3rd 2026 the Hellenic Competition Commission by decision No. 906/2026 approved the acquisition of sole control by “DIAMANTIS MASOUTIS SUPER MARKET SA” of “KONTZOGLOU DISTRIBUTION NETWORK SA” inaccordance with national law on merger control L. 3959/2011.
The concentration concerns the markets for wholesale and retail sale of supermarket goods and the market for logistics services. The concentration does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with the requirements of effective competition in the relevant markets concerned as it does not lead to any change either in the competitive conditions or in the position of the company in the aforementioned relevant markets. In particular, the concentration does not give rise to affected markets at the vertical level, does not entail any conglomerate effects, while at the horizontal level the increase in market share resulting from it is negligible.
