On the 17th and 18th of June 2025, the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) and the Applied Informatics and Computational Economics Lab (AICEL) of the Department of Econmics of the University of Ioannina are organising a Datathon Challenge, joining their forces to promote the practical use of data analysis. The analysis focuses on the market for extra virgin olive oil seeking, in particular, to:
The outcome of the competition will be published in a joint HCC/AICEL working paper. The Datathon Challenge is open to postgraduate students and PhD candidates, regardless of their specialty. Due to their limited number, seats will be reserved on a first come-first served basis. The competition venue is the Department of Economics of the University of Ioannina (Central Library).
