Decision on the notified concentration, pursuant to Articles 5-10 of Law 3959/2011, as in force, concerning the proposed acquisition by the companies (a) Elikonos 2 SCA SICAR, (b) EOS Hellenic Renaissance Fund and (c) Bearonem Limited of joint control over the companies (d) Med Frigo S.A., (e) CARGO MED S.A. and (f) Med Energy.

Operative part of the Decision

The Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), in Chamber sitting, unanimously approved, pursuant to Article 8 (3) of Greek Law 3959/2011, the notified concentration under ref. no. 2654/31.3.2023 concerning the acquisition by Elikonos 2 SCA SICAR, EOS Hellenic Renaissance Fund and Bearonem Limited of joint control over Med Frigo S.A., CARGO MED S.A. and G. POULIAS – S. BRAKATSELOS General partnership (“Med Energy’’) as, although falling within the scope of Article 6 (1) of the Greek Law 3959/2011, it does not raise serious concerns as to its compatibility with competition rules in the individual markets concerned.

The concentration under review does not lead to horizontal overlaps or vertical relationships between the parties. In view of the parties' negligible market shares and the large number of competitors in each of the relevant markets, the concentration does not raise serious concerns as to its compatibility with competition rules in the individual markets concerned.
