Adoption of revised Forms for (a) post-merger notification pursuant to Art. 4a of Law 703/77 and (b) the registration of agreements pursuant to Art. 21 of Law 703/77

The Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), after taking into account the proposal of the Directorate-General and the provisions of Law 703/77 (as amended), revised and simplified the notification forms applicable to concentrations and agreements for the purposes of mapping the market.
In particular, the HCC adopted Decisions 468/VI/2009, 469/VI/2009 and 470/VI/2009, in which it decided the following:
a) It defined the content and the formalities for the notification of concentrations for the purposes of mapping the market and adopted the corresponding notification form. The relevant Decision further clarifies that, following the withdrawal of HCC Decision 306/V/2006, the acquisition of foreign undertakings with no activities in Greece is not subject to notification pursuant to the above provision.
b) It adopted a separate notification form for the notification of concentrations under Art. 4a of Law 703/77 in the media sector, taking into account the specific provisions of Law 3592/2007 regarding the authorisation of concentrations in the related area.
c) Finally, it defined the formalities for the notification of agreements pursuant to Art. 21 of Law 703/77 for the purposes of mapping the market and adopted the corresponding notification form.
