First results of the Competition Commission’s ex officio investigation in the detergents’ sector

In the context of the Competition Commission’s ex officio investigation in the detergents’ sector, the first Report of the Directorate General for Competition examines the agreements concluded between the industry and retailers restricting parallel imports.
In particular, the aforementioned Report, which is not binding on the Competition Commission, examines a clause of the agreements concluded between UNILEVER HELLAS S.A. and eight super market chains during 2000 – 2003 restricting parallel imports. .
On 13 November 2008 UNILEVER HELLAS S.A. and the super market chains concerned will appear before the Competition Commission for the examination of the case in question.
